From Copenhagen, Denmark, Efterklang take their name, quite fittingly, from a Danish word that can mean “rememberance” or “reverberation.” Their impressive new album ‘Magic Chairs’ rather neatly defies easy description – there are passages that recall British Sea Power, Neutral Milk Hotel or Slint, and then they’ll turn around and drop a string section or ‘60s film music on your poor noggin’. We hear their live show has accordingly expanded so as to accommodate all this added instrumentation, so for fans of eclectic, perfectly-crafted pop music, this will not be a show to miss!
