The SUV of iPod Touches.

Eh, I don’t know. Somewhat underwhelming to me, and actually to most of the folks I work with.

Coincidentally, my thoughts on the iPad and the new Alkaline Trio album This Addiction are the same.
Despite all the hype surrounding it, I was very interested to see what they would come up with. After all, they have put out some pretty significant releases over the past few years. I can see how some people may like it, but to me it just seems very lacking and almost rushed and I don’t personally find much use for it. Don’t get me wrong; it starts out sounding promising and has some nice parts to it, but overall I think it will be another year or two before they release anything “groundbreaking” again.

I let out a big ‘meh’ after the announcement.

I think I initially wanted one because I was excited for new tech, but after thinking about it for 24 hours, I’m not buying one. Maybe I’ll snag one on the cheap when an early adopter wants to sell theirs, haha.

I dunno, the developers and the apps are going to define the product, so we’ll see.

I think the name is awful and the UI is awful. The UI looks great on an iPhone, but on the iPad it feels forced.

I do want an eBook reader though.

I have an Asus EeePC running Android that cost me about 200 dollars in hardware.  I can’t think of any application where the iPad would be more useful, despite the fact that it costs at least twice as much.
